LAGANZ Transcribathon in July 2021

Discover our Index Cards Transcription project and the Transcribathon. We used a fun online tool to correct the text from scanned pictures of 5000 index cards describing our book, pamphlet and manuscript collections.

Funding support from the Rainbow Welbeing Legacy Fund allowed us to digitise and transcribe all the index cards in our catalogue.

  • LAGANZ Digital Archive Project - Public Forum
Wed 20 Oct, 5.30pm-7pm, Tiakiwai Seminar Room, National Library, Wellington
    - Join us in an exciting programme to launch the next stage of our digital journey.

LAGANZ is looking to build on digital initiatives started earlier this year and needs to plan for the development of a digital archive platform, digitisation of collections, and new approaches to collecting born digital materials.

This is a major project which we hope will deliver online access to the rich LGBTQI+ collections held by the Archive. We wish to invite wide community participation to help us achieve this ambitious goal.
    More details.

  • LAGANZ Digital Archive Project - Online Forum
