Introduction from the Chair .. Many people are taking strong stands on the issue of Homosexual Law Reform.. We called this public meeting because we felt it was important.. rhetoric and facts .. listen and question.. Some public meetings have become a shambles .. that’s not going to happen tonight.. Ground Rules - All of the speakers are to be given a fair hearing.. The format of our meeting.. all of our speakers are guests of the Labour party..

Fran Wilde - I want to start by telling you about the current state of the law and the Bill itself.. At present under the Crimes Act all sexual activity between males is a crime.. All anal intercourse (including heterosexual) is a crime.. At present you can discriminate on the grounds of perceived sexual orientation

Wilde - When the Bill goes through Parliament it will be split into two Bills.. Under the Crimes Act amendment.. This is a decriminalization Bill..
