| |
12:00 | Richard Meech – No children with AIDS in New Zealand.. carrying the AIDS antibody – several children in New Zealand.. |
| |
13:30 | Meech – There is no reason to exclude them from other children when there is ‘normal’ social contact and bladder or bowl continence is normal.. grey area of concern.. |

| |
17:20 | Holmes – Saliva |
| |

| |
22:00 | Meech – there are certainly young to older children (5 –12) at school who are virus carriers.. schools are not informed.. this is not a virus spread by casual personal contact .. both in the North and South Island.. all of the cases are haemophilic children.. |
| |
24:00 | Meech – If Eve’s social behaviour is ‘normal’.. no biting or aggressive involvement with other children .. there is no reason to exclude the pre-school situation. |
| |
24:40 | Meech – our understanding of AIDS has only been around for five years.. 10-15% of those who are antibody positive will go on to develop AIDS.. another 10-15% may go on to be unwell.. after about five years one-third may have some sort of illness.. |
| |

| |
